William (Bill) Goetz entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Christina (Chris) (nee Everman) Goetz, brother, Greg (Elaine) Goetz. Bill graduated from Woodward High School and Cincinnati Technical College (now Cincinnati State) with a degree in electro-mechanical engineering. He then had 2 years of apprenticeship training before joining IBEW Local 212 and becoming a licensed commercial electrician. In 1983 he and his wife established Detect-All Security, a security and fire alarm business. He retired in 2021 when the business was sold. Bill was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 1998 and became an avid supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) through his fund raising and participation in Bike MS. He has ridden in the event since 1999, with the exception of two years when he was unable to ride. Bill’s stubbornness and sense of ethics would not allow him to give in to any limitations that physical conditions imposed on him. He was a fighter, and he refused to stop going. His post-retirement activities were to putter around in his wood workshop and his flower beds.
